The Acting President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, led a nationwide Obratón event this Thursday, an initiative coordinated by the Vice Presidency for Public Works and Services, with the goal of overseeing and inaugurating strategic infrastructure and essential services projects in the states of Miranda, Yaracuy, and Carabobo.

This activity is part of a comprehensive deployment aimed at consolidating public services, strengthening national infrastructure, and guaranteeing the well-being of Venezuelan communities. Rodríguez inspected and inaugurated key projects in sectors such as the water system, roads, and access to decent housing—central pillars of the Bolivarian Government’s social protection policy.

In the state of Yaracuy, the new “San Javier” bridge was inaugurated, built thanks to bilateral agreements with the People’s Republic of China. This project will directly benefit 80,000 families by restoring road connectivity in the area.

“Thanks to bilateral relations and agreements established with the sister Republic of China, Venezuela now has the capacity to build bridges,” the Acting President highlighted during the ceremony.

In Miranda, the “La Castellana” water treatment plant was reactivated, ensuring the supply of drinking water to four community circuits. This milestone reinforces the National Executive’s efforts to optimize the national water system and guarantee the human right to water.

Likewise, in Carabobo, progress was made in the delivery of decent housing, within the framework of the Second Transformation: The Human City. “It excites me to know that we are within the framework of the Second Transformation, which is the Human City, and that we are delivering safe homes to Venezuelan families,” said Rodríguez, who acknowledged the collective work of the People’s Power: “This is the way: working effectively and hand in hand with organized People’s Power.”

The event was attended by the Ministers of Water Resources, Transportation, and Housing and Habitat, as well as the governors of the three states visited. Together, they oversaw the implementation of structural solutions aimed at positively impacting the quality of life in the communities.

Rodríguez reaffirmed the National Executive’s commitment to efficiency in public services and the country’s comprehensive development. “When they ask who governs Venezuela, let the people themselves affirm that it is them, together with the Bolivarian Government,” he stated, emphasizing the leading role of communities in shaping their own destiny.

With these actions, the Government is promoting a territorial transformation agenda based on social justice, technological sovereignty, and international cooperation. The Obratón (a major public works project) is thus consolidated as a key tool for the recovery of public infrastructure and the realization of fundamental rights.
